Major work for final year of Visual Communication at the University of Newcastle, Australia.
Rack Rent is an exploration of editorial design which attempts to visualise the murky territory between modern and traditional forms of media and communication. The idea for the magazine was inspired by a class discussion where a student described a magazine as, "intended for a particular audience." They weren't wrong, however with access to technology it is possible to create a personal publication in the same way that we create, curate and edit our social media accounts.
Rack Rent contains: Essays, Photographic work, Illustration and contributions by Newcastle artists Alana Tomlin, Get Rosy and Bleck.
